Vermont schoolteacher Melissa Jenkins (age 33) was reported
missing around 11:30 PM on Sunday, March 17, 2012.
A friend of Jenkins discovered her silver 2006 Suzuki Grand
Vitara along Goss Hollow Road in St. Johnsbury, VT. The engine was still
running and Jenkins' two year old son was alone inside the vehicle. The location of the
vehicle was close to Jenkins' residence.
Sadly, on Monday (March 26, 2012), Jenkins' body was found off Comerford Dam Road in Barnet, VT, approximately 11 miles away from
her home and vehicle. Bernet, VT is approximately 20 miles from Haverhill, NH, the location where Maura Murray was last seen in 2004.
The details of this tragedy share similarities with other cases including Maura Murray and Brianna Maitland.
On the Topix forums, there is a subforum for Barnet, VT. Other Topix users and author James Renner have located a thread about Maura Murray. The thread was started on February 22, 2012 by Beagle (AKA Mr112dirtbag). Barnet is where Melissa Jenkins' body was found.
